Current Research
- Base and precious metals recovery from ore or waste materials using different hydrometallurgical techniques.
- Development of environmentally benign technologies for metals recovery from ores and waste materials.
- Hydrometallurgical treatment of plant effluent / wastewater for the removal of heavy, toxic and hazardous metals.
- Mine site pollution control by removing heavy metals and controlling pH of the water bodies affected by acid mine drainage.
- Treatment of leach residue for the value added metals recovery and/or safe disposal.
- "Biomass NL" - Production of biomaterials (bioadsorbents) using biomass wastes derived from agriculture, forestry and marine resources.
- Green recovery of metals from mining/metallurgical solutions through biosorption.
- Waste Management - Effective use of biomass wastes to produce value-added products for the mining/metallurgical industries.
