E-Marketing Training for Regional Economic Zone 16 (Burin Peninsula)

Project Description
Objective:
To educate small business owners and non-profit groups in the region in E-marketing and computer techniques.

Background:
The need for e-marketing education was identified at the Regional Workshop held in May 2008 in Marystown. Many small businesses and other groups in the region could benefit from better understanding new technology and how to create/improve their websites. Using the internet and computer-related tools can help small business owners and non-profit groups. For example, tourism and heritage groups would benefit from training in online registration methods and online marketing.

Roles for Memorial University:
Ask marketing and technology experts to deliver training (e.g. workshops, seminars, hands-on tutorial, etc.) in the Burin region to small businesses and local groups.
