Distance Education in Cultural Heritage Training
Project Description
Objective:
To provide training in cultural heritage topics via distance education
Background:
There exists a need within the heritage sector for more training in a variety of topics. Given the large geographic scale of the province and that many heritage workers are currently employed and/or volunteering most of their time, a distance program for training would suit this sector well. It would allow those in the heritage sector to gain more certification and legitimacy while pursuing training in their own time by distance.
Roles for Memorial University:
Organize distance education courses or a program around cultural heritage training. Provide certification for program and expertise in training.
