Workshop on Benefits of Oil and Gas Development in Labrador
To develop a workshop featuring the benefits of oil and gas development for the residents of Labrador.
The increasing demand for gas and discoveries in Labrador contributed to the revival of interest in exploring this area. A workshop would be beneficial to involve residents, organizations and governments about the impacts of oil and gas development in Labrador.
Mark Shrimpton, principal at Jacques Whitford, led two workshops at the Nunatsiavut Council Chambers in Hopedale and at the Hotel North Two in Happy Valley - Goose Bay on the benefits of oil and gas development to Labradorians on October 27 & 28, 2008.
