Developing Memorial's Presence in Central Newfoundland

Project Description
Objective:
To increase the presence of Memorial University's programs and projects in Central Newfoundland.

Background:
The Central Newfoundland Post Secondary Committee is calling for more Memorial projects and interaction in the region. Central Newfoundland has several college and university connections and would like to grow their post secondary presence. The present economic situation in the region has increased the need for post secondary education and training. An increased interest in the region, and community members, from Memorial would be welcomed and help individuals interested in furthering their skills and education. By helping individuals in the region, post secondary institutions such as Memorial will be helping communities and the region as a whole.

Roles for Memorial University:
Develop programs, projects, and partnerships which target and benefit those in Central Newfoundland.
