Summary
The Primary Healthcare Partnership Forum (PriFor) is a scientific conference organized and hosted by the Primary Healthcare Research Unit (PHRU), Discipline of Family Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University. Initiated in 2009, the second conference was held in 2010, with the next conference scheduled for 2011. We believe that continuing to provide a forum in which to share ideas and knowledge, and to network with other health professionals, will go a long way in helping those working across the spectrum of primary healthcare to more effectively work together to improve patient care.

The overarching theme of the 2010 PriFor conference was 'working together for better patient care.' The major themes of the conference were Lifestyle, Chronic Disease Surveillance, and Haiti. The conference brought together practitioners and researchers involved in the multi-faceted field of primary healthcare, including: family doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, public health, policy makers, administrators, epidemiologists, social workers, as well as complementary and alternative medicine.
