Summary
Using evidence-based information from the literature, interdisciplinary teams and educational methods, we aim to reduce the major complications that affect newborn babies across Canada. Our study results, presented this year in Washington, DC and St. John’s, NL showed significant reductions in rates of hospital acquired infections and chronic lung disease of prematurity as a consequence of quality improvement efforts.
